In 2021, the Tvrdeich family from Fino Valley Wines and the Nola family, partnered to build a new legacy of winemaking in Finola with a shared vision of producing premium quality wines at fair prices and creating meaningful and lasting relationships with local and international suppliers. Both families each have over 100 years of rich winemaking history and tradition, and are led by their latest generations to combine their heritage of winemaking knowledge.  

 

With four generations of industry knowledge passed down, Nathan Nola of the Nola family, is the family’s latest generation of winemakers. Nathan has a keen ambition to persistently evolve and expand the Nola family name within the industry. With his ever-increasing knowledge of the industry, Nathan leads the Finola team to make sure they are committed to their vision, every step of the way. 

 

Nathan has successfully established partnerships with all major retailers in New Zealand and has expanded distribution into Australia, solidifying their presence with an office in Sydney. Furthermore, Finola is poised to extend its global footprint with an upcoming office opening in the lucrative US market, a testament to their unwavering commitment to international growth and prominence in the liquor industry.

 

Ivan Tvrdeich of Fino Valley Wines, one of the oldest wineries in Auckland prides himself in putting care into every step of producing wine from growing grapes to finishing and distributing the product to local and overseas buyers. Having perfected their craft in wine, the Tvrdeich’s have diversified into producing high quality spirits and liquors. 

 

Together, the families have bonded over their love of wine, shared history of Croatian heritage and deep rooted familial values to form a strong and lasting union. With their wealth of hands-on experience in every aspect of the liquor industry, from growing and manufacturing to distribution and retail, Finola is dedicated to providing excellence in their products and their services.
